Alsacian scallops knit (counterpane) free pattern

I've been looking for this pattern for quite some time.
You might have have seen it around your net search also.

The pattern was here. But unfortunately for me is in russian, and I don't speak the language. So I kept looking at it and hoping that someone will translate it someday. Here and here you can find some videos in German that have a similar pattern.
And finally I had the marvelous idea to ask my good friend, E. if she knows any way to translate it properly cause google translate didn't help me too much :)
And SHE DID. SHE'S the BEST !!! :)
And she was so nice  to share it with all of us .
So, let's give her a big applause for this :D

Here is the pattern in English:

Knitted socks

My grandmother used to knit us socks. Every winter, on every Christmas, each person of our family received 2 pairs of knitted socks. It was a lovely present, a great tradition that we all expected every Christmas morning. I still have the last socks she knitted for me and I barely wear them for fear not to ruin them. I will cherish them forever.
Every year I look at them and I wonder when she managed to do them for all of us and I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to learn to do it myself from her.
So this year, I put my mind to do it. Kept searching for patterns and they all seem so difficult to make :) And I thought I will never learn to do it.
But, after long searching I found a pattern from purl bee that seemed easy enough for me.
So, I did it.
My first socks. :) While I was knitting them , I felt like I was doing them with my grandmother. And it was lovely :)
I recommend this pattern to all you knit beginners :)

And here they are mine :

How about slippers ?

I never knew to crochet. That is until I began all this.
And then I realized I could do slippers. All kinds: knitted, crocheted, sewed. Oh, well sewed I didn't try yet :)

Lavender and crafts

Me and my husband are very fond of lavender aroma.
And since we've been a few years in Croatia at the seaside where you could find lavender anywhere, even in our camping place we decided to try and grow some plants at our place. We have not succeeded yet. The moment the plant gets into our house , it just dies :(
But we'll keep trying :) There must be something wrong that we do. So, if you have any ideas , tell us please :)
In between, my husband kept thinking of how can I use these lavender seeds to my crafts, besides the lavender sachets. He wanted to feel the aroma all the time, any place :)
So , he came up with an idea. Can you do something like a necklace filled with lavender, he said. And at that moment I raised with joy and said yes, that's it. It's great.
So this is how we came up with the idea of jewelries filled with lavender seeds, which if you want you can purchase here or  here.
And I started making these, for me, friends and now for selling.
Below are some of them. First I made them from cotton and now, since I discovered the beauty of silk yarn, I'm using it.

Baskets, bowls

I love to to organize my stuff around the house in different baskets or nest bowls. I have all kinds of. Some I already gave them as presents. Some I still have in my Etsy shop to sell.

Lavender sachets

Another favorite of mine. Lavender and sachets. All kinds of.

...and bookmarks

This is what I actually wanted to show you.
My love for bookmarks.
First a few that I simply love, but not made by me :

And here are some made by me after different tutorials, patterns or ideas I found on the net:

Reading and...

Do you read ?
Well, I do. I used to read for hours, for days. In the summer vacation it was almost all I did. Read and read. Even now when we go in vacations my husband's pictures of me are like these:

I can do this anywhere :)

And my favorite place, the beach... (well, it's a little bit rocky here)  :)
